About the Book
Plant Pathology is the discipline of biological science that deals understanding the causes of plant diseases, the mechanisms of disease development in plants, and the approaches for plant disease management. Attempt has been made to understand the nature of plant pathogens, concepts of disease development and to elucidate the methods of preventing and managing plant diseases. The book “Concepts of Plant Pathology and Disease Management” edited by Kajal Kumar Biswas, Parimal Sinha, Pranab Dua, Prashant P. Jambhulkar, Bishnu Maya Bashyal, Srujani Behera, Manjunath Hubballi and R. Viswanathan presents updated but brief introduction to principles underlying various stages in the development of plant diseases along with management approaches. This book will provide knowledge in the concepts of plant pathology in general and in basic understanding in disease management of various crops. This book consists of 17 chapters, and in each chapter, there are specific topics contributed by eminent scientists, who have made notable teaching and research contributions in their field of specialization.
