Birth & Educations: Dr. Abhijeet Shankar Kashyap was born on March 17, 1987 in Bihar. He pursued his undergraduate studies in agriculture at UAS Raichur, completing his B.Sc. (Agri) in 2011 and awarded his M.Sc. (Agri) in Plant Pathology from UAS Dharwad in 2013. Dr. Kashyap earned his Ph.D. in Plant Pathology from ICAR-IARI, New Delhi, in 2021

Positions hold: Dr. Kashyap began his professional journey as a Scientist at ICAR-NBAIM, Mau, Uttar Pradesh in Jan 2016, holding this position until 2020 in the Level-10 pay scale. In January 2021, he was promoted to Scientist (Sr. Scale) at ICAR-NBAIM, Mau, where he continues to serve in the Level-11 pay scale.

Awards/Honours: Dr. Kashyap’s contributions have been recognized with numerous prestigious awards and Invited talks. Notably, he received the Dr. R.L. Munjal Best Ph.D. Thesis Award (2023). His accolades also include Young Scientist Awards in Plant Pathology (2021) and Agriculture (2018). Dr. Kashyap has earned over 15 Best Oral Presentation Awards for his research in volatilomics, pathogen profiling, biocontrol mechanisms, and Biogenic nanoparticles. Additionally, he was a recipient of various ICAR scholarships and fellowships, including the National Talent Scholarship (2007–11), Junior Research Fellowship (2011–13), and Senior Research Fellowship (2013–16). He also serves in several esteemed editorial capacities for high-impact scientific journals, reflecting his expertise and commitment to advancing plant pathology. He is an Associate Editor for Chemical and Biological Technologies in Agriculture (Impact Factor: 5.20, NAAS: 11.20) and the Journal of Plant Diseases and Protection (Impact Factor: 2.2, NAAS: 8.20). Additionally, he holds the position of Editor for Plant Growth Regulation (Impact Factor: 3.8, NAAS: 9.80) and serves as a Guest Editor for Frontiers in Plant Science (Impact Factor: 5.2, NAAS: 11.20) and Frontiers in microbiology (Impact Factor: 4.0, NAAS: 10.00)
