Birth & Educations: Dr. Nareshkumar Gohel born in Sojitra, Anand district of Gujarat State. Dr. Gohel earned BSc (Ag.) in 2002, MSc (Ag.) Plant Pathology in 2005 and PhD in Plant Pathology in 2008 from Navsari Agricultural University, Navsari, Gujarat.

Positions hold: Assistant Professor / Assistant Research Scientist (2008-2017); Associate Professor (2017 to till date); Vice President, ISMPP (2023-24). Dr. Gohel started his professional career as Assistant Professor (Plant Pathology) in September 2008 at the Department of Plant Pathology, B. A. College of Agriculture, AAU, Anand. In October 2012, joined AICRP-NSP (Crops) Seed Technology Research as Assistant Research Scientist and moved up to become Associate Professor in March 2017. He has a 15 years career dedicated to teaching at UG and PG levels, research and extension activities.

Awards/Honours: Dr. Gohel received many prestigious awards and recognitions especially ICAR funded Best Teacher Award in Higher Agricultural Education 2018-19; ISMPP-sponsored PP Singhal PI Industries Memorial Award 2022; Plant Protection Association of Gujarat (PPAG) sponsored Dr. R. K. Patel Associate Scientist Award-2021; American Phytopathological Society Global Membership; PPAG sponsored Young Scientist Award 2019; Young Achiever Award 2018 by Society for the Advancement of Human and Nature, Nauni, Solan; Shri Varadhbhai Ambaidas Patel Best UG Teacher Award 2017-18 by BACA Alumni Association, BACA, AAU, Anand; Outstanding Faculty in Agriculture award by VIFA-2017; Certificate of Excellence” for ‘Best Performing Centre’ in Seed Technology Research under AICRP- NSP (Crops) for the year 2016-17; IJTA Young Scientist Award-2016.
