Birth & Educations: My birth place is Nagpur, Maharashtra. I did my undergraduate
from CoA, Nagpur, M.Sc. and Ph.D. from Division of Plant Pathology, Indian
Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi. For Post Doctoral Research he
received Borlaug fellowship and he visited USDA, Agricultural Research Center,
Beltsville, MD, USA during 2013-14.
Positions hold: I served as Assistant Professor, Plant Pathology, at
Agricultural Research Station, Banswara, MPUAT, Udaipur since 2007 to 2019. I
joined Rani Lakshmi Bai Central Agricultural University, Jhansi on July 2019 as
Associate Professor and presently serving as Professor and Head Department of
Plant Pathology.
Awards/Honours: I was awarded with
Appreciation Award for excellence in Teaching by RLBCAU, Jhansi 2021,
Appreciation Award for excellence in research by MPUAT, Udaipur, 2019, Prof
M.K. Patel Memorial Young Scientist award, 2016, Best Young Researcher Award
2017 by Indian Phytopathological Society in Tg16.

Research Areas: Field
of specialisation is biological control. I worked extensively on development of
Trichoderma and Pseudomonas fluorescens bioformulation from
native Trichoderma strains. Currently working on genetic diversity of Fusarium
spp. causing post-flowering stalk rot (PFSR) in maize. Working
of identification of differential host and identification Races/pathotypes
of F. verticillioides and other
Fusarium species of complex causing
FSR.
Publications: I published 42
research papers, 15 Book chapters, 1 Book, 4 Training manuals and few Technical
bulletins.
Significant Extension
activities include: Established Plant
Health Clinic – Diagnose and recommend package of practices for the management
of Disease and insect pests management to the farmers; Developed a ‘Mobile
Plant Health Clinic ‘ Van- Organise caps in villages to resolve plant
health-related issues in their field; Developed ‘ Kisan Wani’ Whats’ App Group
to connect farmers from Bundelkhand to get solutions to their crop related
problems.
