Birth & Educations: Born on May 30, 1968 in Mankodu, Kollam district of Kerala. Completed schooling from Govt. High School, Chithara as school topper and Pre-degree from College for Women, Thiruvananthapuram. Obtained B.Sc (Ag), M.Sc (Ag) and Ph. D from Kerala Agricultural University, Thrissur with distinction.

Positions held: Joined ICAR on 11.9.96 as Scientist at ICAR-Sugarcane Breeding Institute, Coimbatore. Later worked in ICAR – Indian Institute of Spices Research, Kozhikode and ICAR- Indian Institute of Horticultural Research, Bengaluru as Scientist (SS) and Senior Scientist. Joined ICAR- Central Tuber Crops Research Institute, Thiruvananthapuram on 20.07.09 and working as Principal Scientist from 11.09.2011.

Awards/ Honours: Received Nine best paper awards in Conferences/Symposia conducted by various professional societies and team member, Best Centre of All India Network Programme on Organic Farming (AINP-OF) during 2019-2020.

Fellow: Indian Phytopathological Society

Research Areas: Phytophthora, fungal pathology, host resistance, microbial diversity, characterization and utilization, postharvest diseases, bio- intensive management of fungal diseases and mushroom.
