I am delighted to share a moment of great pride for our Society. Indian Phytopathology, the official journal of the Indian Phytopathological Society, has achieved a significant milestone by receiving its first Impact Factor of 1.0 in the latest Clarivate Journal Citation Reports (JCR).

This achievement marks an important chapter in the journey of our journal and reflects its growing scientific influence, international visibility, and commitment to publishing high-quality research in plant pathology and allied disciplines. It is a recognition of the collective efforts of the entire IPS fraternity and all those who have contributed to the journal's development over the years.

I extend my heartfelt congratulations and sincere appreciation to our past and present Chief Editors, Editors, Editorial Board Members, Reviewers, Authors, Readers, Executive Council Members, IPS members and the Editorial Office staff, Springer team whose dedication and support have made this accomplishment possible. The confidence and encouragement received from our members have been instrumental in strengthening the journal and enhancing its reputation globally.

With the award of an Impact Factor, the journal's NAAS Rating is expected to increase to 7.0, further elevating its standing among scientific journals in agriculture and allied sciences.
