Dr. Bramhankar completed his B.Sc. (Agriculture) in 1997, M.Sc.
(Plant Pathology) in 1999, and Ph.D. in Plant Pathology in 2002 from Dr. PDKV,
Akola. He has extensive professional experience, having served as In-charge of
the Betelvine Research Station, Diwthana, Taluka Akot, District Akola for two
years, followed by five years as Assistant Professor of Plant Pathology and
more than fifteen years as Associate Professor of Plant Pathology. He has made
significant contributions to research, extension, and capacity building in
plant pathology, serving as Co-Principal Investigator in two Tribal Sub-Plan
projects at Gadchiroli with a total outlay of approximately ₹2.00 crore and as
Principal Investigator of an RKVY project titled “Enhancement of Shelf Life of
Liquid Bio-fertilizer” with funding of ₹5.00 lakh. He has also submitted major
research proposals including an RKVY project of ₹68.34 lakh as PI and a DST
project of ₹29.80 lakh as Co-PI. Dr. Bramhankar has contributed to the
development of eight recommendations or technologies for different crops and
has played a key role in strengthening bio-fertilizer units at Akola, Nagpur,
and Gadchiroli through funding support from ICAR and CSR initiatives,
mobilizing financial assistance of approximately ₹40 lakh and ₹1 crore,
respectively. He successfully registered a Trichoderma-based bio-pesticide at
the Central Insecticides Board (CIB), Faridabad, for commercial production and
initiated further registrations and sale licenses for bio-fertilizers with the
Government of Maharashtra. He has actively participated as course co-organizer
and resource person in national and international conferences and regularly
serves as a Plant Pathology expert to institutions such as RAMETI, VANAMATI,
HortSap, and CropSap. Dr. Bramhankar has handled twelve departmental research
projects and fifteen agency trials in plant pathology and is the author of the
book “Principles of Integrated Pest and Disease Management.” His publication
record includes 55 research papers and reports, one book or book chapter, ten
technical articles, and thirty popular articles and folders, along with
technical publications on CIB fungicides for crop plants and plant pathology
