Birth & Educations: Born on 28th August 1982 at Gorakhpur. Completed M.Sc. in Botany (Plant Pathology) in 2005 from DDU Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur and Ph.D in Molecular Plant Pathology from DDU Gorakhpur University Gorakhpur and Sugarcane Research Centre, Kunraghat, Gorakhpur in 2010. Worked as Young Scientist on DST Project from 2021-2015 at St. Andrew’s College Gorakhpur.

Positions hold: Presently working as Assistant Professor at Department of Botany, Coordinator MSc Microbiology at Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gorakhpur University, Gorakhpur (UP).

Research Areas: Plant Pathology 

Significant scientific contributions to Plant Pathology: 12 phytoplasma diseases are new records in world and 18 new records in India. 120 Phytoplasma sequences were submitted to GenBank and 01 WGS Bioproject. Completed 02 major and 01 minor projects from DST SERB, UGC and Rand D project Government of UP on Sugarcane grassy shoot and Brinjal little leaf disease. Published 39 research papers and 05 review articles in national and international journals, 13 book chapters in edited books and 02 edited book. 03 Patent published at IPR New Delhi (Invention describes the use of Lantana and Ricinus plants as biopesticide in the field of Plant Pathology to manage phytoplasma, viral and fungal diseases ecofirendly). Completed 15 dissertation on various topics of plant pathology and 1 PhD awarded and 3 students have been persuing PhD under my supervision on the different aspects of phytoplasma diseases and Phytopathogenic fungi. Editor (Plant Bacteriology), Indian Phytopathology, BMC Plant Biology and Acta Scientific Microbiology. Attended 07 meetings of International Phytoplasmologist Working Group, Italy at Germany, France, Spain, Oman, Lucknow India and Vietnam.
