Membership of IPS

Any person interested in the science of Plant Pathology shall be eligible for membership. The society shall have regular members, student members, life members, patrons, fellows and honorary fellows.  Regular, student, life members and patrons shall be admitted to the Society after being proposed and nominated by two members and approved by the Executive Council. At present, the Society has approximately 2000 member, subscribers including 85 members from 32 countries.

  • Regular - Most individuals who are working in plant pathology or a related field.

  • Post-Doc - Persons in a Post-Doctoral plant science position.

  • Student - Persons enrolled in a plant science study program at an accredited college or university.

  • Group - As many as five plant pathologists who are employed by local agencies, universities, and other nonprofit organizations in a developing country.

  • Emeritus - Any retired person who has been an APS member for at least 20 years.

  • Sustaining Associate - An organization that supports the goals of the Society.
